The work Absentia by Jigger Cruz was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,112.78), 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jigger Cruz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jazz In A Restless Landscape Of Silhouettes And Screeches in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,125,000.00 (€ 130,017.02).

Die Arbeit Absentia von Jigger Cruz wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.112,78) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jigger Cruz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jazz In A Restless Landscape Of Silhouettes And Screeches im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.125.000,00 (€ 130.017,02).
