Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2016 Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Evening Sale, which included the work Crawling from the Wreckage by Jigger Cruz. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 375,000.00 (€ 45,696.26), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jigger Cruz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jazz In A Restless Landscape Of Silhouettes And Screeches, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 1,125,000.00 (€ 130,017.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2016 führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Crawling from the Wreckage von Jigger Cruz zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 45.696,26) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jigger Cruz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jazz In A Restless Landscape Of Silhouettes And Screeches beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 1.125.000,00 (€ 130.017,02) versteigert wurde.
