Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscapes by Jiao Bingzhen was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 150,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 20,543.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jiao Bingzhen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selling Fish On The River in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 177,967.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscapes von Jiao Bingzhen kam im Juli 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 20.543,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jiao Bingzhen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selling Fish On The River im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 177.967,61).
