This artwork by Jiao Bingzhen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2005. In the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction, the work Horses sold for HKD 180,000.00 (€ 18,744.84) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jiao Bingzhen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selling Fish On The River in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 177,967.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jiao Bingzhen erzielte im Mai 2005 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY wurde die Arbeit Horses für HKD 180.000,00 (€ 18.744,84) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jiao Bingzhen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selling Fish On The River im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 177.967,61).
