Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cats And Butterfly by Jiao Bingzhen was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 35,000.00 (€ 25,858.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jiao Bingzhen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selling Fish On The River in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 177,967.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cats And Butterfly von Jiao Bingzhen wurde im September 2013 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 25.858,88) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jiao Bingzhen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selling Fish On The River im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 177.967,61).
