Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Landscapes After Tang Yin by Jiao Bingzhen was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2005, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 120,000.00 – 160,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 108,000.00 (€ 11,246.90). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jiao Bingzhen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selling Fish On The River in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 177,967.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Landscapes After Tang Yin von Jiao Bingzhen im Mai 2005 bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 160.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 108.000,00 (€ 11.246,90) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jiao Bingzhen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Selling Fish On The River im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 177.967,61).
