Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Conversation in a Hunt by Jiang Zhaoshen was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 75,600.00 (€ 8,975.34). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jiang Zhaoshen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scenery of Four Seasons in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,060,000.00 (€ 122,592.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Conversation in a Hunt von Jiang Zhaoshen im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 75.600,00 (€ 8.975,34) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jiang Zhaoshen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scenery of Four Seasons im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.060.000,00 (€ 122.592,79).
