Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Happy New Year by Jiang Zhaohe was worth HKD 4,685,000.00 (€ 513,304.74) to a buyer in July 2020. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 1,500,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jiang Zhaohe; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Harmony Of Strings sold at auction in April 2013 with the realized price of HKD 7,480,000.00 (€ 732,208.38).

Die Arbeit Happy New Year von Jiang Zhaohe war einem Käufer im Juli 2020 HKD 4.685.000,00 (€ 513.304,74) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 1.500.000,00 um ein Vielfaches.
