The work Portrait of George F. Dales by Jiang Zhaohe was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2020. The result of HKD 1,000,000.00 (€ 105,478.33) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 1,000,000.00 – 1,800,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jiang Zhaohe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Harmony Of Strings in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 7,480,000.00 (€ 732,208.38).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Portrait of George F. Dales von Jiang Zhaohe wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 1.000.000,00 (€ 105.478,33) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 1.000.000,00 – 1.800.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jiang Zhaohe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Harmony Of Strings im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.480.000,00 (€ 732.208,38).
