Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Jan Henrik Engström was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in May 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 10,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 9,000.00 (€ 986.44). Other works by Jan Henrik Engström have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April last year by the work From the series "Trying to dance", 2004 at SEK 12,000.00 (€ 1,161.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jan Henrik Engström im Mai 2014 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 10.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 9.000,00 (€ 986,44) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Jan Henrik Engström wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im April letzten Jahres die Arbeit From the series "Trying to dance", 2004 mit SEK 12.000,00 (€ 1.161,62).
