Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Maternidad by Jesús Guerrero Galván was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2011. The price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 13,008.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jesús Guerrero Galván have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Concepción in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 181,000.00 (€ 123,229.85).
