It achieved a price of AUD 12,925.00 (€ 6,590.91), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 62%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by J. J. Hilder; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Jetty sold at auction in August 2003 with the realized price of AUD 14,100.00 (€ 8,329.60).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von AUD 12.925,00 (€ 6.590,91) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 62%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von J. J. Hilder; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Jetty im August 2003 mit dem Hammerpreis von AUD 14.100,00 (€ 8.329,60).
