Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2009 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Australian Trees On A Hilltop by J. J. Hilder. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 6,600.00 (€ 4,024.53). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by J. J. Hilder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Jetty, which sold at auction in August 2003 for AUD 14,100.00 (€ 8,329.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2009 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian Trees On A Hilltop von J. J. Hilder zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 6.600,00 (€ 4.024,53) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von J. J. Hilder mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Jetty beobachtet, die im August 2003 für AUD 14.100,00 (€ 8.329,60) versteigert wurde.
