Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August 2007 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works, which included the work Australian Landsdowne Bridge by J. J. Hilder. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 5,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 5,760.00 (€ 3,444.35). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by J. J. Hilder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Jetty, which sold at auction in August 2003 for AUD 14,100.00 (€ 8,329.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August 2007 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian Landsdowne Bridge von J. J. Hilder zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 5.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 5.760,00 (€ 3.444,35) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von J. J. Hilder mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Jetty beobachtet, die im August 2003 für AUD 14.100,00 (€ 8.329,60) versteigert wurde.
