Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Country Road by J. J. Hilder was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne in November 2020. The price achieved of AUD 3,075.00 (€ 2,573.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by J. J. Hilder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Jetty, which sold at auction in August 2003 for AUD 14,100.00 (€ 8,329.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Country Road von J. J. Hilder wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 3.075,00 (€ 2.573,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von J. J. Hilder mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Jetty beobachtet, die im August 2003 für AUD 14.100,00 (€ 8.329,60) versteigert wurde.
