Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (floating trees) by Jerry Uelsmann was sold in the The Gift of Photographs auction at Bonhams in December last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,060.00 (€ 2,860.35) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jerry Uelsmann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (floating trees) in April last year with an auction result of USD 17,640.00 (€ 16,741.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (floating trees) von Jerry Uelsmann wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Gift of Photographs bei Bonhams versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.060,00 (€ 2.860,35) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jerry Uelsmann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (floating trees) im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.640,00 (€ 16.741,01).
