This artwork by Jerry Uelsmann achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in an online auction in February this year. In the The Eye That Shapes: Further Selections from the Peter C. Bunnell Collection auction, the work Room #1 sold for USD 5,670.00 (€ 5,348.05) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jerry Uelsmann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (floating trees), which sold at auction in April last year for USD 17,640.00 (€ 16,741.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jerry Uelsmann erzielte im Februar diesen Jahres bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Eye That Shapes: Further Selections from the Peter C. Bunnell Collection wurde die Arbeit Room #1 für USD 5.670,00 (€ 5.348,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jerry Uelsmann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (floating trees) beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für USD 17.640,00 (€ 16.741,01) versteigert wurde.
