Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2009 Phillips in London held the auction Music, which included the work Bob Dylan, '"The Soul Of'" by Jerry Schatzberg. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,325.54) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jerry Schatzberg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Bob Dylan 'Smoke'' in April 2014 with an auction result of USD 28,125.00 (€ 20,277.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2009 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Music durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bob Dylan, '"The Soul Of'" von Jerry Schatzberg zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.325,54) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jerry Schatzberg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Bob Dylan 'Smoke'' im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.125,00 (€ 20.277,58).
