Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Children In A Swing by Jerome Thompson was sold in the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2014. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,506.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jerome Thompson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Duck Hunting in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 54,000.00 (€ 44,484.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two Children In A Swing von Jerome Thompson wurde im April 2014 in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.506,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jerome Thompson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Duck Hunting im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 54.000,00 (€ 44.484,72).
