Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Fly Me To The Moon II by Jeppe Hein. The price achieved of GBP 37,800.00 (€ 43,004.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jeppe Hein - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 3-Dimensional Circle Illuminated, which sold at auction in May this year for USD 120,650.00 (€ 113,243.85).
