In June 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction European Art: Paintings & Sculpture, which included the work Two Works On Paper: (I) Personnes Dans Un Intérieur (Ii) Personnes Attablées by Jenny Montigny. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,854.64), 40% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jenny Montigny achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fille Au Jardin in June 2020 with an auction result of GBP 200,000.00 (€ 220,265.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion European Art: Paintings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Works On Paper: (I) Personnes Dans Un Intérieur (Ii) Personnes Attablées von Jenny Montigny zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 3.854,64) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jenny Montigny erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fille Au Jardin im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 200.000,00 (€ 220.265,34).
