Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work La Fileuse by Jenny Montigny for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,571.62). This price was achieved in the auction European Art: Paintings & Sculpture at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jenny Montigny achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fille Au Jardin in June 2020 with an auction result of GBP 200,000.00 (€ 220,265.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit La Fileuse von Jenny Montigny für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.571,62) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion European Art: Paintings & Sculpture bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jenny Montigny erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fille Au Jardin im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 200.000,00 (€ 220.265,34).
