In June 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction European Art: Paintings & Sculpture, which included the work Cerisiers En Fleurs by Jenny Montigny. The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,303.98) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jenny Montigny achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fille Au Jardin in June 2020 with an auction result of GBP 200,000.00 (€ 220,265.34).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion European Art: Paintings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cerisiers En Fleurs von Jenny Montigny zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.303,98) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jenny Montigny erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fille Au Jardin im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 200.000,00 (€ 220.265,34).
