Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jenny Gage could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work No Title changed hands for GBP 625.00 (€ 709.47) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jenny Gage - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ventura (Camp Fire), which sold at auction in March 2013 for USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,950.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jenny Gage konnte im November 2017 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wechselte die Arbeit No Title für GBP 625,00 (€ 709,47) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jenny Gage mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ventura (Camp Fire) beobachtet, die im März 2013 für USD 2.500,00 (€ 1.950,69) versteigert wurde.
