The work Blind Window No. 1 by Jeff Wall was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in March 2021. The result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 35,242.27) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jeff Wall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dead Troops Talk (A vision after an ambush of a Red Army patrol, near Moqor, Afghanistan, winter 1986) in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 3,666,500.00 (€ 2,965,464.25).

Die Arbeit Blind Window No. 1 von Jeff Wall wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 35.242,27) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jeff Wall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dead Troops Talk (A vision after an ambush of a Red Army patrol, near Moqor, Afghanistan, winter 1986) im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.666.500,00 (€ 2.965.464,25).
