Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work LIRR, Hunters Point from Habitat 7 by Jeff Chien-Hsing Liao for USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,310.23). This price was achieved in the auction The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation, Part 2 at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Jeff Chien-Hsing Liao have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2010 by the work LIRR, Hunters Point, 2004 at USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,097.02).

Im April 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit LIRR, Hunters Point from Habitat 7 von Jeff Chien-Hsing Liao für USD 6.875,00 (€ 6.310,23) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation, Part 2 bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Jeff Chien-Hsing Liao wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober 2010 die Arbeit LIRR, Hunters Point, 2004 mit USD 11.250,00 (€ 8.097,02).
