This artwork by Jean Xcéron achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2017. In the The Collection of Paul F. Walter auction, the work Painting #1 sold for USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,994.33) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean Xcéron have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Composition 239A in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 88,315.82).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean Xcéron erzielte im September 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Collection of Paul F. Walter wurde die Arbeit Painting #1 für USD 10.625,00 (€ 8.994,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Xcéron auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Composition 239A im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 88.315,82).
