In April 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Ikon, No. 386 by Jean Xcéron. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,839.10), 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Xcéron achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition 239A in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 88,315.82).

Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ikon, No. 386 von Jean Xcéron zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.839,10) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Xcéron erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composition 239A im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 88.315,82).
