Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Les faunesses by Jean Puy was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in June 2018. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,825.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Puy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nu Au Peignoir in June 2009 with an auction result of GBP 73,250.00 (€ 85,956.42).

Die Arbeit Les faunesses von Jean Puy wurde im Juni 2018 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.825,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Puy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nu Au Peignoir im Juni 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 73.250,00 (€ 85.956,42).
