In January 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Allegorical Designs Representing America by Jean-Michel Moreau for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,760.60). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolors Including an Important Canadian Collection and a Distinguished Private Collection at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Michel Moreau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fête De Nuit in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 65,000.00 (€ 92,148.17).
