Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jean-Michel Moreau could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master Drawings auction, the work A Hunting Party Halting At A Pool By An Obelisk changed hands for USD 3,438.00 (€ 2,546.67) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Michel Moreau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fête De Nuit in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 65,000.00 (€ 92,148.17).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean-Michel Moreau konnte im Januar 2014 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master Drawings wechselte die Arbeit A Hunting Party Halting At A Pool By An Obelisk für USD 3.438,00 (€ 2.546,67) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Michel Moreau erzielen.
