Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Lumiere 13.91 - 1991 by Jean-Marc Bustamante was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in December 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 3,900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Marc Bustamante achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work State of grace in May this year with an auction result of EUR 40,320.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Lumiere 13.91 - 1991 von Jean-Marc Bustamante im Dezember 2019 bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 3.900,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Marc Bustamante erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit State of grace im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 40.320,00.
