Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 15,924.92) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Louis Forain achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La femme aux affiches in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 1,692,500.00 (€ 1,450,299.91).
