Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Côtes Rocheuses by Jean Le Moal was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 21,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Le Moal - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Port, which sold at auction in December 2007 for EUR 69,850.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Côtes Rocheuses von Jean Le Moal kam im Juni 2016 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 21.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean Le Moal mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le Port beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für EUR 69.850,00 versteigert wurde.
