In May 2000 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings from the Lagerfeld Collection, which included the work Views of the Château de Mousseaux and its gardens by Jean-François Hue. The »bidding war« ended at USD 248,000.00 (€ 265,866.21), 55% above the upper estimate.
