Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fisherman And Other Figures Along A Shoreline, A Sailboat In The Distance by Jean-François Hue was sold in the Old Masters auction at Sothebys in London in May 2019. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,489.55) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-François Hue achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Views of the Château de Mousseaux and its gardens in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 248,000.00 (€ 265,866.21).

Die Arbeit Fisherman And Other Figures Along A Shoreline, A Sailboat In The Distance von Jean-François Hue wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion Old Masters bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.489,55) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-François Hue erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Views of the Château de Mousseaux and its gardens im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 248.000,00 (€ 265.866,21).
