Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Jacob Tronchin by Jean-Etienne Liotard was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January last year. The price achieved of USD 119,700.00 (€ 106,760.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Etienne Liotard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Dutch Girl At Breakfast in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 4,405,000.00 (€ 5,234,092.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Jacob Tronchin von Jean-Etienne Liotard kam im Januar letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 119.700,00 (€ 106.760,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Etienne Liotard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Dutch Girl At Breakfast im Juli 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.405.000,00 (€ 5.234.092,94).
