The result of USD 1,500,000.00 (€ 1,509,965.77) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500,000.00 – 2,500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Etienne Liotard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Dutch Girl At Breakfast, which sold at auction in July 2016 for GBP 4,405,000.00 (€ 5,234,092.94).
