This artwork by Jean-Etienne Liotard achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2018. In the Old Masters Day Sale auction, the work Portrait Of A Man In Oriental Costume sold for GBP 68,750.00 (€ 76,593.60) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Etienne Liotard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Dutch Girl At Breakfast in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 4,405,000.00 (€ 5,234,092.94).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean-Etienne Liotard erzielte im Dezember 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of A Man In Oriental Costume für GBP 68.750,00 (€ 76.593,60) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00.
