Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jean Charlot could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Latin American Art auction, the work Mock Battle (From The Malinches Series) changed hands for USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,436.40) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Charlot - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 56,250.00 (€ 53,256.96).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean Charlot konnte im Mai 2013 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Latin American Art wechselte die Arbeit Mock Battle (From The Malinches Series) für USD 18.750,00 (€ 14.436,40) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00.
