Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fiji Portfolio, c. 1973 by Jean Charlot was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,024.00 (€ 944.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Charlot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 53,256.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fiji Portfolio, c. 1973 von Jean Charlot kam im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.024,00 (€ 944,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Charlot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 53.256,96).
