Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Corbeille De Fruits by Jean-Jules-Louis Cavaillès was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Online auction at Sothebys in New York in July 2019. The price achieved of USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,354.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Jules-Louis Cavaillès - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Venise, La Salute, which sold at auction in March 2017 for GBP 40,000.00 (€ 46,876.05).
