Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bouquet À La Fenêtre by Jean-Jules-Louis Cavaillès was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,133.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jean-Jules-Louis Cavaillès have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Venise, La Salute in March 2017 with an auction result of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 46,876.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bouquet À La Fenêtre von Jean-Jules-Louis Cavaillès kam im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.133,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean-Jules-Louis Cavaillès auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Venise, La Salute im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 46.876,05).
