Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seated Nude With Cat by Jean Brusselmans was sold in the Modern Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,375.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Brusselmans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Promenade: the walk in November 2009 with an auction result of EUR 58,600.00.

Die Arbeit Seated Nude With Cat von Jean Brusselmans wurde im Juni 2014 in der Auktion Modern Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.375,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Brusselmans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Promenade: the walk im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 58.600,00.
