Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jean Brusselmans could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern Art auction, the work Bedroom changed hands for EUR 875.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Brusselmans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Promenade: the walk in November 2009 with an auction result of EUR 58,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean Brusselmans konnte im Dezember 2013 bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern Art wechselte die Arbeit Bedroom für EUR 875,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Brusselmans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Promenade: the walk im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 58.600,00.
