Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2013 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Modern Art, which included the work Man With A Pipe by Jean Brusselmans. It changed hands for a price of EUR 7,500.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean Brusselmans have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Promenade: the walk in November 2009 with an auction result of EUR 58,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2013 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Man With A Pipe von Jean Brusselmans zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 7.500,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Brusselmans auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Promenade: the walk im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 58.600,00.
