Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Bonhams in New York held the auction 19th Century and British Impressionist Art, which included the work Promenade near L'Arc de Triomphe, Paris by Jean Béraud. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 63,900.00 (€ 63,900.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Béraud achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French bois De Boulogne in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,810,000.00 (€ 1,625,505.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Promenade near L'Arc de Triomphe, Paris von Jean Béraud zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 63.900,00 (€ 63.900,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Béraud erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French bois De Boulogne im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.810.000,00 (€ 1.625.505,16).
