The work Elegante à l'Emeraude by Jean Béraud was sold in the European and British Art, Part II auction at Sothebys in London in July last year. It achieved a price of GBP 10,710.00 (€ 12,789.64), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 34%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Béraud achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French bois De Boulogne in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,810,000.00 (€ 1,625,505.16).

Die Arbeit Elegante à l'Emeraude von Jean Béraud wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion European and British Art, Part II bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 10.710,00 (€ 12.789,64) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 34%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Béraud erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French bois De Boulogne im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.810.000,00 (€ 1.625.505,16).
