However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Baptiste Vanmour - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Armenian women embroidering in an interior; Armenian women drinking coffee in an interior; Armenian interior with a sultan and his favourite; and Greek sailors merrymaking in an interior, which sold at auction in December 2006 for GBP 355,200.00 (€ 527,161.26).
