In December 2006 Christies in London held the auction Important Old Master Pictures Evening Sale, which included the work Armenian women embroidering in an interior; Armenian women drinking coffee in an interior; Armenian interior with a sultan and his favourite; and Greek sailors merrymaking in an interior by Jean-Baptiste Vanmour. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 355,200.00 (€ 527,161.26), 61% above the upper estimate.
